Decided this week to start doing one warm up drawings/paintings every weekday morning before I start work to help wake my ever so tired brain up.

Bout' time I load up some sketches.
No fancy coloured doodles this time, most of them I posted on Instagram but they are the more decent looking sketches in my sketchbook so far.
Not so fun fact : I used to never draw dragons at all cause I found it really hard until I got the artbook for 'How to Train Your Dragon' & watched the movie. And now, I draw them when I'm stumped on what to draw which is pretty often.
I really like these 'Space Post' stuff I've been doodling, hoping to maybe colour one or two of them when I've got the time.
Like this critter as well so threw some colour on it, calling him Swamp Warrior for now.
Lil' happy frog doodle for a friend's birthday c:
Ok, the only fancy coloured doodle to end off the post.
A quick thing I did with the lasso tool on Friday.
Challenging to draw with the lasso tool but pretty fun.

I've got stuff lying around in my sketchbook & on my laptop so will try to post them up soon.
In the meantime, guess what, I got fanart
My talented, not to mention, awesome friend, Ivan modelled my derpy dragon doodle (which I have to thank him for since he suggested derpy dragons as a theme) because he liked it for some reason, haha.
He even rendered out a turntable, whoop whoop!
(I apologise for the video quality, I used the default video uploader on blogger and it killed it. U_U)
It's always cool to see something done in 2D turned into 3D & this wasn't even a proper drawing.
Thank you so much again Ivan!
Do go check out his other works, he does mostly matte painting, concept design and well, he's multi-talented, so clickity click on one of those links below.

My friend, Ivan gave me a theme of "Derpy Dragons" for last week's doodle session & it was without a doubt, fun!
Ivan is turning that silly orange dragon into a 3D model in zbrush, looking forward to seeing the finished model!
Will share it here when it's done
These 3 are dragons he drew and he asked me how I pick colours so the pink ones are my take on his double headed dragon.
Ended of last week's session with a cat. Again.
So yesterday I downloaded Jake Parker's DRAWINGS book from his kickstarter campaign and love every single drawing in it!
His work is absolutely amazing so definitely go check out his site and if you're interested in getting yourself a copy of the book, you can get it here.
I got really inspired to do some space related stuff after looking through the book hence tried doodling some space animals.
I'm really bad at drawing robots, guns, etc, but enjoyed drawing these & definitely going to draw more of them!
So last night's doodle party was all space and robots for me.
Ended off the session with a fox thing, I really had no idea what I was doing so, uh, yeah.
I'll try to update with pencil/ink sketches soon and hopefully some watercolour stuff!
It's been way too long since I last used watercolours and I feel horrible for neglecting them.
Gonna' end this with the basil plant I'm growing at work. c:

Speedy update with a senseless title
terrible drawings of myself rambling.
See this mess of terribly drawn me in full view!
*It looks a lot worse in my sketchbook, I tried to clean it up in photoshop*
Anyway, so do any of you have the problem with drawing on the first page of a sketchbook?
Cause' I sure do.
Whenever I attempt to draw something on the first page, I always try to make it nice and then drawing on the rest of the pages becomes a bit stressful cause I've kinda set the 'standard' of the drawings I need to have in the sketchbook because of that first page.
But this rarely happens sooo,
more blank first pages!
I know I draw myself too much but I've decided to draw myself right for once, hopefully this weekend.
(Why am I still struggling with left and right.. U_U)
And here's a doodle done at work on the same day that's less painful to the eyes.

It's been a while!
So, I'm going to dump a whole bunch of recent doodles,
hope you guys like them. c:
Before the doodles, Paul Harrison drew the dude character I whipped up some time ago!
He totally captured his personality, haha
Thank you so much again Paul!
So I did a little sketch of Paul's urban animal characters which I'm a big fan of, to thank him for drawing dudeee. Do go check out his works, they are adorable and funny!
I had a doodle party with a few friends not very long ago on google hangout, so below are the silly stuff I drew.
I'm dedicating Mr. Ham to incredibly talented friend, Leia!
My internet wasn't being very nice during the whole session so I drew a grumpy mouse/rat.
He reminds me of Tutter from "Bear in the Big Blue House",
who is my favourite character in the show
And, finally, sketchbook doodless
Drew a whole bunch of big faces today.
These were super fun to do!
Going to end this post with a simple fanart I did of awesomely talented James Castillo's design that you can check out here!
Do check out his works cause they are amazingg
Have a great weekend you guys!
